  I recommend eating your fish and chips hot right out of the fryer at the restaurant.  I hadn't been here in 30 years but I order the four piece cod fish and chips and enjoyed it. I will definitely try some of the other items on the menu next time. This is a very casual eatery.  The decor has not changed much in 30 years.  I think we need to support all existing San Francisco Bay Area Fish and Chips restaurants because they are few and far between.
  
  I enjoyed the tartar sauce and creamy coleslaw that came with the fish and chips. I added malt vinegar and ketchup to the fries for a little extra punch. A wedge of lemon is provided to squeeze on your fish, if you'd like.  If you are lucky you might find parking right in front of the place but most likely you will have to hunt out some street parking with on El Camino Real or one of the side streets.  
  
  A message to the current owner- please bring back the battered and fried mushrooms on skewers which were very popular with regular customers of this establishment.  
  
  (Warning about parking lot: if you are driving a vehicle that is low to the ground, don't park in the lot in front of the place or you will most likely scrape the bottom of your vehicle getting out of the lot because the exit is at a steep incline.)

  I've been coming to this London Fish & Chips location for about 25 years. Came here today for the first time in about a year, normally I'm there 2-3 times a month. Didn't notice it was under new management until I got inside. Not much has changed except for the menu boards and modern drink cooler.
  
  My normal order is always 2 piece fish & chips, side order of clams, side order of mushrooms and a soda. But today there were no clams or mushrooms on the menu and no 3 piece fish option to make up for no clams or mushrooms. So I got just the 2 piece fish and chips. To say I was disappointed when my order arrived is an understatement. Like other posters have said the pieces of fish looked like chicken fingers. And they definitely looked like premade processed fish sticks, (see photos. ketchup packet next to fish for scale) not craggy and rough when dipped in batter just before putting into hot oil. Chips were, like I've read, served like they do in England small chunks mixed with medium size pieces. But most were soggy with only a small percentage crispy.
  
  Malt vinegar was not on any of the tables nor was I offered any. When it was a "London" fish & chips there was always a bottle on every table. Homemade? tarter sauce and cold slaw were good, but I like my food more on the plain side. So other people may think they have no flavor.
  
  In the past when leaving I would be totally stuffed and actually had to choke down the last remaining chips, but today after leaving I was actually considering a run to McDonalds.
  
  Overall the food tasted good, but then I like anything fried. Portions were half of what they used to be. Any of you that ate there a year ago remember how big the pieces of fish were. Would I return? Hmmmm...... This semi-bad review is not because of the taste of the food but more for the changes made to the menu. Like the old adage goes "If it ain't broke don't fix it". If they put clams and mushrooms back on the menu I probably would go back, but until then yeah, probably not.

  Under New Management-so we decided to give it a try!
  
  What a massive failure of a decision!
  
  The food hasn't changed...
  Old oil
  Overly battered ingredients
  
  The service though....WHOA!!!!
  
  They close at 8pm.
  We arrive at 730pm, order our food.  
  Get our food at 746pm...
  by 808pm the pee-on that frys the food is staring at me and says "we're closed, do you want a to go box"....wtf!!!  
  
  They were expecting us to scarf down all our food, appetizers and drinks in 20 minutes.  Mind you the food came piping hot.  Straight out the fryer...we had to wipe it down from all the oil.  And wait for it to cool down.  Yet this POS had the audacity to say "we close at 8pm it says it on the door".  I said my piece and we walked out.  I will NEVER return to this establishment!
  
  Note to New Management:  Get a new cook, with customer service skills and manners.  
  
  I DO NOT RECOMMEND....again I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
  
  Food is shit! Staff is garbage!
  
  Go to Camelot!  Way better EVERYTHING!

  Had Jumbo shrimp and got violently ill when I got home. Used to be a favorite spot but unfortunately I am too traumatized to ever go back.

  Yelp shows this place as "closed" on Monday (21jan2019), but it is open and well.
  This place is under new management quality definitely changed, they are all about making sure customer is happy, offer credit card payment and can get Uber Eats...
  4 piece cod and fries, with fries...; total with taxes is $12.36.... have chicken wings, hot dogs and sandwich option.
